Rev. Dr. Alex W. Brandon was ordained in 1979, and is Chief Chaplain and Chairman of the Board of Directors. He is Associate Pastor at Evergreen Lutheran Church in Phelan, CA. With 40 years in business management and ownership, CH Brandon has also spent decades directing nonprofits and held local elected offices for 12 years.
All Directors are Chaplains and Fellows in The Conference. Chaplains Keith, Sterry and Muretta are
US Navy veterans. CH Brandon is our Endorsing Executive for the VA, and enjoys the CCC credential. Between the entire Board, some areas of specialization in common and specific are Active Military, Reservists and Guardsmen, Fraternal, Veterans, School, Senior Citizens, Nursing Home, Disaster Preparedness, Homeless Shelter, VA Stand-Downs and Prison ministries. Rev. Dr. Robert J. Muretta, Jr. was commissioned by the U.S. Conference of Chaplains School of Ministry in 2023. He actively serves as a spiritual adviser and is a cofounder of Sojourners Cape, a veterans recovery group. CH Muretta enjoyed over 25 years supporting U.S. Naval Aviation both in an out of uniform while serving as an adjunct professor for over a decade.
Rev. Catherine Cannon was ordained in 2011. She currently serves on staff as a support chaplain for Nativity House in Tacoma, WA. CH Cannon retired from Recovery Innovations in Fife, WA and has ministered for 30 years with community, nursing home, middle school and outreach organizations.
Rev. Hugh C. Keith was ordained in 1997, and currently serves as Deputy Chief Chaplain and Vice Chairman of the Board. He is the Presiding Bishop of the Old Baptist Union in America. CH Keith has enjoyed a nearly 30 year professional career in the field of executive administrative support and office administration.
Rev. Steven C. Sterry was ordained in 2009, and currently serves as Director of Ministry & Education. He is the Assisting Priest at the Anglican Church of the Epiphany in La Mirada, CA. CH Sterry retired after 20 years of working with the California State Employment Development Department (EDD) in their Veterans Services programs.
